I made a lesson for learning about wild and zoo animals. To access it, you will need to download Mimio 9.0 software (free). It is an interactive set of lessons with a quiz at the end. Learning About Wild Animals.ink The nice thing about this lesson is that there are many audio features included. Again, to get the full benefit from this lesson, you will need to download the software. The objectives are listed and there is a self-checking feature on the interactive pages.
Splashtop Whiteboard
When used with Splashtop Streamer, your iPad recogonizes what's on your computer and you can use your iPad like an IWB system. This is a $19.95 app, but if you don't have an IWB system, the price is right. The students are drawing on the iPad and it is on the big screen. It is saved on the computer in a Splashtop folder. There are many tools, including backgrounds, reveals, spotlights, highlighters, shapes, and stampers...easy for 4 year olds. I also created some simple patterns and the students named them by writing ABAB under the objects. Another page asked the student to circle all of the animals that had fur. You can also take a snapshot of the product and it is saved in a Splashtop pictures folder.
